A Childhood Tragedy Under A Mother's Watch
Part One 1975-1982 Lowell Massachusetts
Child sexual abuse is a horrifying crime committed on children everyday and the least discussed. When the pity is easier to look at than what the communication will tell, we as children are told to move on and forget, as adults we are told to forgive. Yet we live our whole lives trying to forget something we will always remember and search for forgiveness in what is so unforgivable.
About the Author
I am an American poet, author and blogger. Born in 1969 Lowell Massachusetts. I wrote my first poem at age fourteen and quickly adapted my love for words. Shamed by the childhood I lived, I became a cook and caterer for nearly three decades. An auto accident at age forty-five, left me disabled and a victim to horrifying repressed memories. In 2018, I started a blog where I shattered my silence on childhood trauma, family secrets and unsolved murders in my hometown.
My poetry has been published in numerous poetry journals and I am the author of Christmas in Poetry Land, Survivor's Mind and A Childhood Tragedy Under A Mother's Watch: Part One 1975-1982 Lowell Massachusetts. A Life Given To Me: Part Two 1982-2019 Lowell Massachusetts will be available in June 2022.
Some of my favorite books are: Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, Spilled Milk and The Keeper of Things.
